Columbus Day Haul! [Forever 21 and Burlington Coat Factory]

Hi guys!
So, on Columbus Day, I had the day off from work and my mother needed to get a dress for a wedding she's attending. She invited me along with her, and I figured 'Eh, I'll just go because I need a new purse'.  Of course... I bought more than just a purse.  So, I will show you what I brought!
I'll start with Forever 21, because it's one of my favorite stores to go to for more 'casual' wear (well, casual for me).
The first thing I saw were these pants. Animal print is weird for me, it has to be some sort of metallic color and have a background of black or white.  I tend to go for leopard print more than anything else... and I got the last pair of these in my size.
Here's a closeup of the print. I like gold in my clothes because I have warm/neutral undertones and gold looks better on me.

Then I got two jumpers for myself. I got one grey (which is so NOT my color normally) because I can wear it with most of my black clothes and my white clothes. The tartan jumper was right up my alley.. Forever 21 is sort of going crazy with their "schoolgirl" line, meaning there are a lot of clothes that are very reminiscent of what a school aged person would wear.  They also have a lot of Varsity jackets this fall too.  I had to decide between getting this jumper and a skirt of the same pattern, but the grey jumper is a jumper skirt so I figured I'd get the shorts.

I saw this. And I had to have it. I'm a Disney and Pixar freak, plus Wall-E is my second favorite Pixar movie. It makes me cry. Every time I watch it.
Then there's this jacket. Looks like a normal jacket right? Let me show you the back...
Awesome right? I've always wanted a jacket with something bold on the back, so when I saw this I had to have it.  Funny thing is, I saw it from behind on a mannequin and I was very prepare to rip it right off of the thing. Fortunately, one of the workers on the floor managed to find it for me in the BOGO section.
Lastly I got some accessories for myself. Every time I go into Forever 21 I come out with some sort of accessories for my mane. It doesn't help that they are one of the few stores I've found that sell the stretchy Usamimi headbands that are able to hold back my hair when it's curly. Anywhoodle, I just picked up two bows (they're the same color because I put them on my hair when it's in Panda buns), a bunch of hair scrunchies (who doesn't need hair scrunchies), and a flower crown. I KNOW I'm late with the whole flower crown fad, but I've always wanted one exactly like this and I finally found one (when I want something, I'm usually really specific and picky about it).

That's all I got from forever 21! Next is Burlington Coat Factory!
The first thing I picked up from Burlington was this blue coat. I've always wanted a coat like this for the fall and when I saw this, I had to have it! It's by Tommy Girl, a sub-brand of Tommy Hilfiger. This coat was only eighteen dollars, so I snagged it right up.
Here is the only less blurry picture of the adorable charm hanging near the side of the coat. It's removable, so if you don't like it, you can take it off. Also, a lot of these pictures seem to be blurry/have crap in the way, and that's totally my fault, I'm sorry!
I picked up this cute blouse and sweater also.  It seems when fall hits I tend to wear more neutral colors and more primary colors too (mostly rich red and blue), where as in the spring and summer I go with softer colors (like pastels).  I thought these two things were so cute and they're also work appropriate in my case.

I saved the best for last... presenting... the thing I am most excited about.
My new bag! It's a Betsey Johnson bag and oh my goodness, I have wanted a Betsy Johnson bag for so long.  All of her bags have been so expensive though! Her clothes too, and she has some pretty adorable stuff.  I wanted to get some clothes from her line but they didn't have anything in my size, only plus size.  I have to admit this is a good thing, because Burlington is VERY plus size friendly. So I saw this bag, and I knew I wanted it... I was even happier when I found out it was only forty dollars! The retail price for this bag is a hundred dollars, so I was quite pleased.  This bag is roomy, has pockets, AND it's adorable, it's the perfect bag for me!

A closer look of the pattern on the bag. Roses and skulls, just my style (or a least one portion of it ^^;). Gosh I love this bag so much!

So that's all for my haul! Thank you so much for reading this picture heavy post, I really appreciate it!

Hello Cavities/Twinkle Twinkle Bat Sweatshirt review!

Hello there everyone!
It's been a few days since my last post, but don't worry, I haven't gone and disappeared, I've just been busy with work.
I should mention that one of my favorite fashions happens to be creepy cute. Even though I'm not a big fan of gore and horror, having eyeballs in bows and black cats in my clothing and accessories just appealed to me as soon as I saw them.  There is also something else I should mention.
I really like bats.
Since I was a kid I've loved the little cave dwelling creatures, I even wanted to keep one as a pet! So you can imagine how happy I was when I saw this picture floating around Tumblr.
I. HAD. TO. HAVE. ONE
The sweater is called sold by a company called Hello Cavities, and along with these glorious sweatshirts, they also sell tights with the same bat pattern on them.  The name of it is the Twinkle Twinkle Bat Sweatshirt.
Unfortunately, I saw this sweater when I was jobless and broke, so it was another six months or so until I was finally able to get my grabby hands on one of these beauties.  I decided to finally splurge and order the sweater from Hello Cavities when they released their limited edition color, which was in Charcoal.  The charcoal is basically their Lavender sweater with a reversed color palette; the background of the sweater is black and the bats adorning it are lavender.

I placed my order with Hello Cavities on October 4th and it was shipped on October 7th. The package was delivered to me on October 9th. Considering that it was shipped from the West Coast, and I live on the East Coast, I believe that is really fast shipping!
I don't have a picture of what the packaging looked like, but it was just the standard plastic envelope packaging that a lot of things get sent in when it's delivered by USPS. Along with my sweatshirt, I was pleasantly surprised to see the little Halloween themed bag with it!
Here what was inside the bag!
I sort of cheated and ate the candy as soon as I saw it instead of waiting for Halloween ^^;

By the way, I love when companies put little gifts or a note along with their goods. Not just because I love getting candy, but it adds a personal touch to whatever you're getting. I'm more likely to remember a company that has tagged a note along with their things, or sends nice email responses to my questions.  Now, let's take a look at the sweatshirt itself!

This is the only picture I have of myself with it on (Oh the woes of not having a tripod!).  The sweater is very soft, and lightly lined on the inside, which is perfect for chilly days. If you want an oversized look, just order a size up from your normal size. I wanted a loose fit, so I ordered a size medium for myself instead of a small like I would normally do. Here are two more pictures of the sweater laid out flat in different lighting.
Natural Sunlight
 With flash

As you can see, the bats on the material look just a bit paler in natural sunlight, but the fabric is very opaque and you can still clearly see the color of the bats and the background. I didn't take a picture of the detail (D'oh!), but do you see those little white dots on the sweatshirt? They're actually not dots, they're little stars! Hence the words Twinkle Twinkle in the name of the sweater.  Here is my opinion on Hello Cavities-
Communication- 10/10 (considering I had no questions for them, but I did receive notification when my sweater was shipped)
Quality- 10/10 The sweater itself is beautiful, and practically perfect!
All in all, I am throughly pleased with my dealings with Hello Cavities and I would order from them again!
Thanks for reading this lengthy review, I have some more coming up, as soon as my packages get out of customs DX.

Introduction~!

Hello there!
If you don't know who I am (which, if you're not a follower of me on Tumblr, I'm sure you don't), my name is Pika.  I'm a huge twenty something year old kid who dresses like a pastel princess some days, a rocker/creepy cute chick on others, and like a prince every once in a blue moon.  I would just like to introduce myself to you, and welcome to my blog! Mostly I will be doing reviews on services, shops and products, but I will also be posting bits and pieces of my life, and whatever inspires me.  My style changes on a daily basis, so I would love to share that with you!
The reviews and outfit posts will really start rolling along once I purchase a new camera and tripod (which will hopefully be within the next week or so), but I will do my first review on Jbox when my package comes this week.
I hope you guys join me on the ride, because honestly I would love to have you along!
